Utahns are blessed to live in the most beautiful state in the nation. Whether it’s our mountains, our valleys, our red rock cliffs, or our rivers and lakes, there is so much to love about our environment. We need to do everything we can to be responsible stewards of our vibrant natural resources.

As Governor, Brian King will:

  • Keep our public lands in public hands and protect them from harmful development and resource extraction.

  • Focus on making continued improvements to address poor air quality and ensure that Utah families can breathe clean air year-round by incentivizing public transportation, working to improve clean air and energy standards, and encouraging non-polluting engines.

  • Take urgent action to conserve water and redirect it to the Great Salt Lake, recognizing to a greater degree the devastating environmental, economic, and public health impacts that the continued drying of the lake would pose to our state.

  • Create training initiatives for green jobs to support our transition to renewable energy
